What makes WIDCO different ? |
-
WIDCO is geared towards promoting only civil society organizations in which both men and women operate together meanwhile reserving such leadership positions as President and Treasurer only for women as the principal action in promoting women civil and political leadership or entrepreneurial skills;
-
WIDCO believes in the existence of God and creation and also that “Woman” was created because of the inability of “man” to survive in an isolated forum and hence that the existence and survival of man is completely compromised in the absence of woman hence the two must be promoted to live together and operate together in the family, civil and political grouping as the only way to lay a firm foundation for social cohesion, conflict reduction and resolution.
-
WIDCO believes that community development that does not evolve from the foundation of the cultures and traditions of any concerned community is not sustainable and hence that the cultural and traditional potentials of any area must be developed first then used as the bedrock for the development of the said community be that development social, economic or political.
